This coming week we will be branching out into our parishes, having our students lead prayer and worship in different ways at St Mary’s and St Peter & Paul’s.

Firstly, we are delighted that the stations of the cross reflections focusing on the plight of refugees, that were written by our very own students are to be prayed in our parish of St Peter and Paul this Wednesday 29th March after the 9.30am Mass (likely to start at 10.30am).

A host of students who are involved in Chaplaincy, including some of the authors themselves, will lead the Stations of the Cross in the parish uniting in prayer with our local community. You are all most welcome to come along and pray with us.

Secondly, we have coming up our Lenten Liturgy in the form of the musical ‘Born For This’. The performance takes place at St Mary’s RC Church, Julian Rd, Bath on Thursday 30th March at 7.30pm. There are around 30 students from Years 7-10 involved, who will be spending all day on Thursday learning and rehearsing the entire musical before performing it in the evening!

‘Born for This’ tells the story of Jesus’ final hours, from his condemnation, journey to the cross and resurrection in a powerful way with some beautiful songs. It’s a moving way of reflecting upon the stations of the cross during Lent and all the more inspiring to have our young people take on all of the roles. Everyone is invited to attend, free of charge (albeit I believe there’ll be a retiring collection at the end).

Please come and join us on this special occasion and allow our young people to deepen our prayer life this Lent.
