Bristol Schools’ Swimming Association Secondary Schools Gala
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to go to the secondary school swimming championships. While I was there the atmosphere was amazing and the cheering was great. I entered three races 50M Breast stroke, 50M Back stroke and 50 Fly and did well in all of them. I also met loads of fantastic swimmers. I really enjoyed the gala, so hopefully next year more pupils will join to represent our school.

Year 9 National Schools & BANES netball
The Year 9 netball squad have had a very successful season this year. They entered the National Schools Netball tournament which was held at Kingswood. Despite having an injury before we even started the tournament the girls were determined and played each match with excellent attacking and defensive play. Prior Park, Royal High and Ralph Allen were extremely close games only losing by 2 goals. Well done girls – brilliant team effort.
The BANES tournament Year 9s again showed their strength and only lost one game in the first round. This was due to their exceptional attacking play and shots on goal. They went through to the semi final but lost in a closely contested game against Wellsway.
Fantastic play from all girls. Player of both tournaments went to Mia.
