Our Year 7 MEP students recently went on a trip to Oxford and enjoyed the day they shared with the students from our MEP hub schools: Gumley House School, Didcot Girls’ School as well as students from our MEP partner schools in Cheltenham and London.

During the day the students took part in a variety of cultural events. They enjoyed the talk on Chinese culture that was given by the photojournalist, Adrian Bradshaw, on his experiences in China in the 1980s versus the China of today that was held at the University of Oxford venue.

They also had a yummy lunch in a Chinese restaurant and experienced the amazing taste of the famous Chinese drink “Bubble Tea”!

At the end of the day, they visited the China section of the Ashmolean Museum and explored Chinese art work from different stages of Chinese history.

The students took this wonderful opportunity to use their new language skills and also to meet other students on the MEP programme!
