“We are thrilled to be finishing the academic year with an all-singing, all dancing, toe-tapping performance of Annie Jr, involving over 100 students from Years 7-10. This much-loved classic is brought to life by our students as they take to the stage to act, sing and dance their hearts out, pulling at your heart strings and reminding us all of the power of courage, love and family. Enjoy!”

Leaping Lizards!

The performing arts students of Saint Gregory’s are back and this time they are taking on the much-loved story of Annie Jr, a journey of hope, optimism and good old fashioned plucky determination!

Annie Jr tells the tale of a young orphan, trapped in the depression-era of New York but forever looking on the bright-side of life as she keeps her chin up in the face of increasing adversity, winning hearts and charming just about everyone as she dazzles and sings her way through life, never giving up the dream that she will one day find her parents.

Little Orphan Annie has come a long way since she first hit stage and screen and now makes her way to Saint Gregory’s, for this classic musical full of heart-warming numbers and high-octane choreography. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a downtrodden start in 1930s New York City.

Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. She eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home, making friends with a President (as you do!) and finally discovering a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. What’s not to love?!
