On Wednesday 26 June, two teams from St Gregory’s attended King Edward’s School for the Battle of the Books.

The Battle of the Books is a competition between B&NES schools, where you have to read ten books and answer questions accordingly relating to what has been read.

This years books included Animal Farm; Bees; No More Plastic and The Truth About Lies. The books we read were a mixture of genres ranging from fantasy to non fiction.

We each took a sample of the books to read, to ensure that each group had read all of the books.

The competition was held over four rounds and we are really proud to say that one of the St Gregory’s teams was the overall winner with 144 points.

Well done to Jon D, Thomas B, Seb T, Maddy B, and Ella O’S for their energy, effort and dedication, we look forward to defending our title next year!
