Key Stage 3 & 4 (Years 7-11)

Welcome to Saint Gregory’s Reading Room! We have a wonderful light and airy space for students to use throughout the school day, whether it’s to catch up on some work, have a quiet space to sit, or get lost in a book!

What resources does the Reading Room have?

  • Books: We have a wonderful range of fiction, graphic novels and manga available for you to borrow. We also have a few non-fiction books for you to browse but most of these can be found with their related departments.
  • DVDs: We have a good selection of DVDs in the Reading Room for you to borrow.
  • Careers Section: This section is full of useful resources for further education and employment, including all prospectuses
  • Study Space: Plenty of work space.

We have a wonderful selection of fiction in the Reading Room for students to browse and borrow, including manga, graphic novels, and both long and short reads. In addition to our reading space and selection we run various competitions and activities throughout the year. Why don’t you pop in to find out more and discover something new?

As Lemony Snicket (author of The Series of Unfortunate Events) states: ‘there are many types of book in the world, which makes good sense, because there are many types of people and everybody wants to read something different!’

Our Guide to the Reading Room will provide all of the information you need to using this amazing facility.

Reading Cloud

At Saint Gregory’s we use a system called Reading Cloud. Each student has access to this site with their own personal username and password which allows them to view our catalogue, reserve books, write reviews and create their own reading lists.

For more information about how to use the website and the different things you can do please see the document and links below.
