Media Studies will be relevant to anyone wishing to pursue a career in journalism, advertising, representation agencies, publishing and any jobs which involve communication. The skills acquired in this A Level course will also prepare students to progress to any subject in Higher Education.

As well as meeting the general sixth form requirements, it is essential that you have Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language and display enthusiasm for keeping up to date with current affairs and media forms.

Course Description:
This course will give you the opportunity to delve into a range of exciting current issues, debate and analyse a variety of printed and digital media products as well as produce your own applying technical and creative skills.

Lessons will be supportive and stimulating, full of lively discussion to share ideas and empower you to challenge what you have read about or seen in the media. We aim to create a friendly and informal atmosphere while fostering independent learning.
