Sixth Form Bursary Fund

The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a scheme to help students facing financial hardship to continue in full-time education after Year 11. Eligible students will receive a package of support which could include transport to school, trips, text books, uniform, stationery and IT equipment.

To qualify, a student must be aged 16 and under 19 on 31 August at the start of the academic year in which they start a programme of study; they must also be on a full-time programme of study. Eligibility is dependent on household status and income (further details can be found within the Guidance Notes and Administrative Information). Payments are dependent on student attendance, conduct and a positive attitude to learning. Students, parents and carers will be expected to agree to and sign a Bursary Fund Contract before payments are made. For more information and advice on our Sixth Form Bursary Fund, please speak to a member of the sixth form team.

The Bursary Fund is given to the school each year by the EFA (Education Funding Agency). Once these monies have been allocated the school will be unable to make further grants until the new academic year.
