Last week a group of Year 9 students, accompanied by Mr Bradbury and Mrs Phillips, had the pleasure in visiting the town of Wittlich in Germany as part of the Comenius project in which St Gregory’s are involved. The project aims to bring together students from Germany, Italy, Belgium and the UK to experience the culture and educational system of each nation.

The St Gregory’s party left for Wittlich on the morning of Sunday 21st April and returned on Friday 26th April. Throughout the week, the group had the delight to experience the sights and sounds of the local area, visiting the Roman town of Trier, boat trip on the Rhine in Koblenz as well as a trip to Cochem to visit its mesmerising castle and crater lakes.

Working alongside students from other schools, the focus and theme for the week was Healthy Living. The group participated in workshops including sports, safety and healthy cooking.  It was wonderful to see the interaction and friendships built up over the week between St Gregory’s students and their European peers.

Mr Bradbury would like to thank all staff and students involved for their part making the visit to Germany such a fantastic educational experience.
