The Year 9 netball team have had an amazing season in netball. Saint Gregory’s were joint winners of the B&NES Year 9 Netball Tournament, which qualified them for the quarter finals of the Winter School Games. They played a competitive game against Worle School in Weston Super Mare and won their place in the Winter School Games County Finals.

On Tuesday 30 January, they travelled to the University of the West of England (UWE) to compete in the 2018 Winter School Games Netball County Finals. Their semi-final game was against Backwell school which they won with a convincing 21-4 result. The final was against Colston Girls’ School. Saint Gregory’s performed outstanding offensive plays down the court, showing lovely movement on and off the ball, resulting in lots of scoring opportunities. Our defenders did not disappoint either performing lots of interceptions and rebounds to move the ball to our attacking end. The final score was a well deserved 30-6. The girls were outstanding and are a credit to Saint Gregory’s!  Well done girls on such a fantastic achievement! Mrs McHale and Mrs Tuke are very proud of you all.

The squad: Sophie H (Captain), Ciara, Bella, Poppy, Millie, Maeve, Helena, Ella, Giulia, Sophie R, Ellie, Mindy.
