A sell out audience over three nights experienced a spectacular and incredibly moving piece of theatre in St Gregory’s production of ‘Les Misérables’ (see photo gallery) that ran from Thursday 24th – Saturday 26th January. For students of all ages to access the depth of emotion needed to make this show work in such a mature and confident manner, is a huge testament to the immense skill and expertise of over 100 students as performers, members of the orchestra and technical crew.

When looking over Patrick Holland’s superb photographs it is joyful to see every single cast member completely focussed on their task – telling their own stories with incredible commitment. We are so proud of every aspect of the show- the traverse staging presented many challenges for cast and audience, and the response was amazing. It was so impressive to see the responsibility that the students took for the show in bringing it together- the warm ups and independent rehearsals that went on alongside the support they consistently gave to each other as part of the whole company.

An enormous thank you to everyone involved in this incredible show – the students have created something that will remain with them for a long time, well beyond their school years. The highest of production standards, the energy and the love that was shown for this show is something that will stay with everyone involved.
