We wish all of the St Gregory’s girls involved in this Saturday’s match at Twickenham, the very best of luck as they take centre stage at half time during this weekend’s Rugby showcase match between Bath Rugby and Bristol Bears Rugby.

Bath Rugby Foundation and Bath Rugby’s Community team have joined up to showcase female rugby at half time in ‘The Clash’ and, with more than 50,000 spectators watching at the ground and millions predicted to watch the game on TV, our girls will be stepping out in St Gregory’s kit to represent our school and female rugby to a huge live and on-screen audience.

Students from St Gregory’s, Royal High School and Clarendon in Trowbridge will take to the field to demonstrate their skills in one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The event comes after weeks of coaching and practice with expert coaches from Bath Rugby Foundation as part of the Premiership Rugby’s Project Rugby programme.

On Thursday, the girls were interviewed by ITV news as part of the run-up to this weekend’s game. The camera crew filmed the girls taking part in a training session and interviewed them on what their preparations for such a big game. Be sure to tune in to BT Sport this Saturday, April 6, KO 14:00, when Bath Rugby play Bristol Bears on the ‘hallowed’ Twickenham turf!

Huge thanks to everyone at Bath Rugby Foundation @BR_Foundation for making this happen – such an amazing experience for our students.

Good luck girls!
