St Gregory’s School presents the fairytale world of Into the Woods. A world were people change and discover who they are, and who they might become. A world where we are told to listen and protect our children. A cast of over 80 students from Years 7 -13 have put together this mysterious and magical fable for our time. This is one of the most challenging productions we have taken on and the students, as always, have responded magnificently.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

This musical masterpiece is supported by the hugely talented St Gregory’s orchestra who will, once again, showcase the enchanting musical score and bring the performance to life.
