French Christmas Carols Evening, St Bartholomew’s Church, Bath

Last Thursday, we attended a fantastic French evening to end the year at St Bartholomew’s Church in Bath. Year 10 and Year 11 studying French GCSE came with their parents to a lovely French Christmas Carols evening. The whole service was in French which was a great opportunity for students to listen to French in different context than the classroom. We sang carols, listened to a French passage from the bible.

Our own student, Ella, made a us proud reading beautifully and fluently a passage of St Luke. We listened too, to the Pastor of Bridgewater talking of visits and to another member of the church talking about holidays as well as a micro trottoir video about Noel.

To conclude the evening, chocolats chauds were served with French cakes and sweets. Students and parents really enjoyed this very cultural community event.

Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année a tous.
