Our wonderful St Gregory’s artists have once again been busy with their creative work producing some exceptional pieces for display. Students in Year 7 have continued to enjoy the wildlife and hybrid-inspired lesson tasks.

The following images showcase the talents of our Year 7 students. They include skills such as linear shading, attention to detail, mark-making to create texture and the effective use of tonal range to achieve a sense of form and realism. The example below, by Amelie, is particularly striking; not least because of the stippling applied to the chicken’s comb and wattle, but also the sense of life in the eye, created by a light refection upon it’s moist surface. Well done to all our hard-working and Art-loving Year 7 students!
