Last Friday, it was the turn of our Y11 and Y12 students to take part in a ‘Wellbeing Day,’ in which students were given the day off from school work and were able to take part in a range of activities designed to help take care of our mental health and strengthen us as a school community.

We combined Year 11 with Year 12 to help them transition to a Post-16 community, whether they are staying on with us or carrying on their journey elsewhere. Year 12 students have recently completed mock exams, so this day was a welcome relief!

Students took part in all kinds of activities, from baking and dance to creative writing and Fantasy Football. Students really threw themselves into it and some of the competition for the challenges was fierce! A page celebrating the day is attached. What a delight to see our students getting so involved and enjoying a special day, just for them. Once again, I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff who have created activities for this day, as it is their efforts which have gone in to making the days so memorable for the students. It is so important to take time to relax and celebrate the activities we love and I am very grateful.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and can find some time to work on your own wellbeing too.
