Many of you have been asking about whether St Gregory’s are able to open up channels for donating items to those fleeing Ukraine.  I know many of us have heard of collection points and the Disaster Emergency Committee has received enormous donations.

As a direct way of donating to support refugees escaping Ukraine, we will be collecting donations in school which will be transported by the donations company ‘Astra Recycling’ who’s owner is from Ukraine.  Astra are one of the companies who are responsible for those huge textile donation bins at supermarkets, etc.  Therefore, they are able to use their business to ensure donations can reach those who need them quickly and directly.

These are the types of donations they have requested:

Sleeping Bags
Winter/ Warm clothing
Torches
Backpacks
Tents
Nappies
Baby formula
Blankets

If you are able to donate any of the above, we will be collecting them in the Chapel up until the end of the school day on Friday 11 March.
