On Monday of this week we celebrated the showcase of our Advent preparations with the annual Carol Service at Our Lady and St Alphege’s Church.
Consultation on Admissions Policy for 2024-25
The governors’ Admissions Committee of Saint Gregory’s have approved draft admissions policies for entry to Year 7 in September 2024.
Visit of Spanish students from Canary Islands
Saint Gregory’s has a long-standing partnership with Colegio Arenas Internacional on the Spanish island of Lanzarote. Fourteen Spanish speaking students from the Canary Islands are participating in Year 8 & 9 classes from September to December, alongside student buddies and classmates from Saint Gregory’s.
Chepstow Castle
On Tuesday 8 and Thursday 10 November all of our Year 7 cohort visited Chepstow Castle in Wales as part of their ongoing study in History on the Norman invasion and conquest and their work on the first castles in Britain and their defences.
Remembrance
The History Department has been working with students in KS3 to commemorate Remembrance Week in school.
A Warm Welcome to Students from Vigo, Spain
A group of 25 students from three schools in Vigo, Spain, IES San Tomé de Freixeiro, Colegio Plurilingüe Alba and O Castro British International School, visited Saint Gregory’s from 17 October to 3 November 2022, as part of a Vigo municipality initiative for students to experience programmes of intensive language and cultural learning.
