Week beginning 4 December – Week B

This week’s assembly theme is ‘Preparing for advent’.
Our students are amazing. They are clever, kind and a joy to work with. They inspire, challenge and drive us as professionals to deliver the highest standards of education and care; to fill their school life with academic rigour, compassion and laughter.
We are thrilled to announce our school’s recognition as a Music Mark School, having been nominated by our local music hub, West of England Music Alliance (WEMA).
The last weekend of September brought together Year 11 students from St Gregory’s, St Bede’s (Bristol) and St Bernadette’s (Bristol) for a retreat in the beauty of north Devon on the theme of Resilience and Identity.
This week we have taken all of our new Year 7 cohort off site to nearby Sulis Manor for their induction retreat day on the theme of ‘You are all God’s chosen people’ (Col 3:12).
Saint Gregory’s is not one of the 100+ schools which has been asked to close by the DfE and it will be open to welcome all of our students back into the building on Tuesday 5 September (Year 7 and Year 12 only) and Wednesday 6 September (all students).
We are delighted to announce that Saint Gregory’s has been awarded re-accreditation of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award 2023 – 2026, in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.
This week we were delighted to witness our Year 11 cohort collecting their GCSE results. These results are incredibly well-deserved and a testament to their hard work, resilience and determination.
We would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their exam results, we are extremely proud of their achievements and look forward to following their onward journey. They are an inspiring group of young people
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our school to meet with our students and staff and learn about life at Saint Gregory’s. Join us at our Open Events this Autumn
