It's been an Enrichment Week to remember...
...with activities such as indoor skydiving; mountain biking in the Forest of Dean; encounters with birds of prey; First Aid training; baking challenges; trips to London, Paris, China and Cambodia and so much more! Thank you to all staff for providing such incredible opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and to all students for participating in such good St Greg's spirit.
Our parent prayer group gathered on Tuesday morning for the final time this year. The new time of 9.15am seems to be working well and more parents and carers are able to join for 20 minutes of prayer, reflection and quietness. Do join us in the new academic year - all welcome regardless of your faith or none.
Bishop Bosco has written to invite students, families and staff to the annual Education Mass which takes place on Sunday 13 September at Clifton Cathedral - please read his full letter later in the newsletter and save the date.
A reminder that term ends on Tuesday 21 July at 1.30pm - our wonderful PTFA will be giving students ice lollies as they leave school as a little treat to end the year. I wish to thank the PTFA for all their work, fundraising and support this year. It is currently a very small group of parents and carers so please do consider giving up some of your time to join us next year; we have aspirations to fundraise for a significant air-conditioning project and require more people to support with this. Contact Monica through the St Gregory's PTFA Facebook page or PTFA@st-gregorys.org.uk if you can help in any way.
Have a wonderful summer holiday and I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready to learn in September.
Loving Creator,
As we close this chapter of our school year, we pause to give thanks.
For the lessons learned, the friendships formed and the challenges that helped us grow — we are grateful.
Bless our teachers for their patience, wisdom and care.
Bless our classmates for the laughter, support and shared memories.
Bless our families for their encouragement and love.
As we step into the summer days ahead, may we carry kindness in our hearts, courage in our actions, and hope in our dreams.
Guide us to rest, to reflect and to return renewed for the journey ahead.
Live Jesus in our hearts forever.
Amen.
