Excellence deserves recognition and our scholarships provide opportunities to extend and enrich your learning.
Our scholarship programme is designed to recognise talent, nurture potential and support students in laying foundations for future success – whether at university, in an apprenticeship, employment, or training.
Each scholarship is worth £150 to use towards your A Level studies or extending your horizons in your chosen areas of interest. You will be a Sixth Form Ambassador at school and community events, acting as a positive role model for your peers and younger students. At the end of your two years at The New Sixth you will deliver a presentation to demonstrate how you have extended your learning as a Scholar.
Scholarships are open to current Year 11 students at St Gregory’s, as well as students from other settings who are applying to join The New Sixth in September. Applicants must intend to study A Levels at The New Sixth. All applications are considered equally.

Sixth Form Scholarships Application Guide
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is available to support you if you face financial hardship while continuing your full-time education after Year 11.
To qualify, you must be over 16 and under 19 years of age on 31 August at the start of the academic year and enrolled in a full-time program of study.
Your bursary payments will depend on your attendance, conduct, and positive attitude to learning. You and your parents/carers will be asked to agree to and sign a Bursary Fund Contract before payments are made. The school’s Governing Body will determine who receives awards based on criteria in our Bursary Application Form.
For more information about how this financial support could help you, please speak directly with a member of our sixth form team who can provide confidential guidance tailored to your situation.
The Bursary Fund is given to the school each year by the EFA (Education Funding Agency). Once these monies have been allocated the school will be unable to make further grants until the new academic year.
