We are celebrating a remarkable set of GCSE and Cambridge National results today, with our Year 11 students achieving impressive outcomes across a broad range of subjects.
This year’s results reflect the continued strength of teaching and learning at St Gregory’s, with our students demonstrating academic excellence, personal growth and a strong sense of community. Our performance bucks national trends, including achieving 72% grades 9-4 compared to the national average of 67.1%, and 25% grades 7-9 compared with the 19.8% average of other secondary comprehensive schools. These results showcase the diverse talents and aspirations of our students.
Mrs George praised the cohort’s achievements:
“These results are a reflection of our students’ hard work and the unwavering support of our staff. Every grade represents a journey of learning, resilience and determination, especially as this cohort was so affected by Covid at the start of secondary school. I am incredibly proud of the way our students have grown—not just academically, but as confident, thoughtful young people.
“It has been a genuine pleasure to witness their transformation over the past few years and their success today. Their energy, kindness and curiosity have enriched our school community, and I know they will continue to flourish.
“We are especially pleased that so many of our students have chosen to continue their education at The New Sixth, where they will be supported by teachers who know them well and are committed to helping them thrive in this next exciting chapter of their academic journey.”
