The year 8 netball team qualified for the quarter finals of the Winter Games as they won the BANES netball tournament in December 2015. On Wednesday 13 January, the year 8 netball squad played in the quarter final against St. Bernadette’s.
St. Gregory’s started off the first quarter with a strong lead against St. Bernadette’s with great attacking play from Martha L and Maddie B leading to excellent shooting from Mia R and Caoimhe J. The third and fourth quarter were equally as strong with some tactical changes bringing Alice B and Jessi M into the defence positions maintaining the lead against St. Bernadette’s. Olivia G, Florrie W and Maeve C made a number of interceptions winning the ball back for St. Greg’s attacking players. Well done St. Gregory’s!

St. Gregory’s are now through to the Winter Games semi final which will be played at UWE on Tuesday 2 February.
