Our Year 10 Young Volunteer Group would like to convey a huge message of thanks for your support with yesterday’s non-uniform day to support the work of Missio and HCPT.  The group gathered last week along with Year 10 students from St Joseph’s (Swindon), St Bede’s (Bristol) and St Bernadette’s (Bristol) for the second day of the programme, led by Dave from Missio.  Dave introduced them to the ethos and values that underpin the work of Missio, how they work in countries all around the world and the significance of the red box.  In mixed groups they looked at what mission truly meant, and took part in a role play task that explored the values and judgments we place on one another when faced with difficult decisions.  The day ended with a reflection based on students creating their own red boxes decorated with Gospel values.

Our group of young volunteers are currently working on some exciting plans for Terms 4 and 5 with new events and fundraisers to continue sharing the work of the aforementioned charities and fundraising on their behalf.
