School is now CLOSED until further notice

I’m sure by now most of us have heard the announcement from the Bishop’s Conference regarding suspending public celebrations of Mass. I have provided a link to the announcement below:
Following the government’s briefing yesterday, we have taken the decision to cancel or postpone with immediate effect all school calendared events e.g. Parent Consultation Evenings, assemblies/collective worship, Duke of Edinburgh training and all clubs, fixtures and house matches until further notice.This also includes after school Mandarin classes for the time-being. On Tuesday evening, friends and family were treated to a lovely evening of dance from this year’s GCSE and A Level students. All students had worked incredibly hard on both choreographic and performance pieces
At the end of last week, the St Gregory’s Orchestra competed in the Mid-Somerset Festival and secured first place in the Bands and Orchestra category.
Congratulations to Year 13 students, Cerys F, Sophia F, Sophie T and Anna W who have all successfully completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and will be attending a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace later this year.

This year, as part of the National Theatre Connections 2020 Programme, sixth form students from St Gregory’s have been working on a play called The IT by Vivienne Franzmann.
On Tuesday 4 February, a large group of our fantastic Year 12 & 13 Sixth Form students travelled to Rome, Italy for a week of cultural enrichment with the Humanities department.
St Gregory’s students once again excelled as they tackled the challenges of Sondheim’s “Into The Woods.”
