On Tuesday May 21 we held a special morning for 68 of the Year 6 students who don’t attend one of our eight designated partner schools and who will be joining us in September.  Each year we offer this opportunity to children coming alone, or with only a few other students to ensure that they make contact with many others in a similar situation.  The aim is to enable them to feel happy and secure about this major change in their lives.  This year, as in previous years, all the students left us having had a very positive experience and they all expressed their happiness about joining St Gregory’s.  Here are some of the comments they made at the end of the morning.

Helena– Box C of E

“I enjoyed the whole morning.  I loved making new friends.  I am looking forward to joining St Gregory’s.”

Reuben– St Martin’s Garden Primary

“It’s been fun meeting other people who will be in my year group.”

Jada – Moorlands School

“There are only 2 of us coming to St Gregory’s so it’s been great meeting lots of others who will be in Year 7.  It has really boosted my confidence.”

Toby– Widcombe Primary

“There is such a lovely happy vibe around St Gregory’s.  I can’t wait to join.”
