St Gregory’s competed in the B&NES Year 7 tournament on Wednesday 6 June and a total of nine teams entered the tournament. The girls began the tournament against Broadlands with a remarkable win, 6½ – 2. The next game of the group stages was against Hayesfield. Unfortunately, the game wasn’t the team’s best performance and the girls lost. However, the girls won their game against Norton Hill in a closely fought match 6-5.

After tallying up all the points and rounders scored the girls played for 3rd and 4th position in the tournament. St.Gregory’s played Chew Valley in a very close match but St. Gregory’s managed to beat Chew Valley and came 3rd place in the tournament. The Year 7s did extremely well and got a total of 18 rounders. Well done girls!The fielding was outstanding throughout all of the games and players of the tournament voted by other schools were Natalie, Tilly and Amy.
