To Emil T (Year 7) who has been Highly Commended in this year’s Somerset Young Poets Competition (aged 10 – 12 category).As well as being given an opportunity to read her work at this year’s Taunton Live Festival, Emil will also have her poem published in the prizewinner’s anthology.
There were 1,007 entries in total from 33 schools and 42 poets have been chosen for the anthology. Emil will receive two copies of the book, and Saint Gregory’s will also receive a copy for the school library.
In addition, Niall O’B (Year 8) received an Honorable Mention for his poem in the competition.
