Saint Gregory’s are delighted to announce impressive achievements across the curriculum in this year’s A Level results.
Despite eighteen months of disrupted academic study that saw extraordinary twists, turns and challenges to their learning, our students have risen to the task to secure grades that truly reflect their hard work and dedication to their academic studies.
Headline figures show that students secured the highest standards at A Level with 49% achieving A*-A grades and 87% securing A*-C grades, ensuring that our students secure the optimum grades and UCAS points for entry to university, higher level apprenticeship or chosen career pathway.
Ms Cusack, applauded students for their positivity and dedication throughout their studies:
“I am immensely proud of all our sixth form students. They have worked so hard over the past two years and deserve their excellent results. These young people have demonstrated enormous resilience and talent, adapting their learning and study skills to suit changing dynamics. They have shown the determination to succeed, despite enormous pressure and uncertainty. Our Year 13 students have been fantastic role models and are now moving on to the next stage and phase of their education. We will miss them enormously in September but are delighted with their hard-earned success.”
“Thanks must go to our incredible staff team who have been working tirelessly to ensure that students’ achievements were represented fairly and robustly in their assessments. The professionalism, diligence and care shown by all staff has been inspiring and has helped to prepare our students for the next exciting phase in their education.”
Director of Studies, Mrs Tidball, has overseen the rigorous assessment and marking process this summer and wished to extend her congratulations to all students on their achievements:
“It is a credit to the hard work of the students and staff to achieve such brilliant results in such difficult times. I wish the students every success in the next steps of their journey.”
Director of Sixth Form, Mrs Staves, added:
“This cohort have faced the most testing disruption and uncertainty throughout their A level studies; I am immeasurably proud of every student and the determination, resilience and positivity that they have shown throughout the last two years. It is testament to the students, and to the staff that have gone above and beyond, that so many are now able to move onto their next steps with confidence that they have the skills needed to succeed.”
