You will have received an invite to book a place at our Advent Carol Service ‘Seeking Refuge’ earlier this week. This years’ service is themed around the continuing plight of refugees around the world. Looking at the history of our faith we will reflect upon the migrant stories of the Old Testament and St Joseph’s role in caring for the Holy Family when being made refugees themselves. Through carols, some more contemporary music and poetry we will explore the experiences of those today still journeying and seeking refuge.

Having so little time to rehearse has made this year’s service a challenge but we are delighted to still be able to bring many of our community together in this season of hope. Our retiring collection on the evening will be for ‘Bath Welcomes Refugees’ who have been working with settling some of those displaced from Afghanistan in September and supporting them in a new beginning here in Bath. We will also split the donations to support the work of Julian House.

To reserve a free place at either the 4pm or 6pm service on Weds 15th go to https://saintgregorysbath.schoolcloud.co.uk/.
