Congratulations to all Y13 students today on making it through an incredibly tough two years. Many of you were unable to sit GCSEs in 2020 and so this summer’s exams were the first external assessments you took. It’s a tremendous achievement, and we are very proud of you.

Headline figures show that students secured the highest standards at A Level with 34% achieving A*-A grades and 81% securing A*-C grades, ensuring that our students secure the optimum grades and UCAS points for entry to university, higher level apprenticeship or chosen career pathway.

Despite two years of disrupted academic study that saw extraordinary twists, turns and challenges to their learning, our students have risen to the task to secure grades that truly reflect their hard work and dedication to their academic studies.

I am immensely proud of all our students. Our students have been fantastic role models and are now moving on to the next stage and phase of their education. We will miss our Year 13 students enormously in September but are delighted with their hard-earned success.

Thanks must also go to our incredible staff who have been working tirelessly to support Y13. Their expertise and commitment has been inspiring and has helped to prepare our students for the next exciting phase in their education.

Finally, remember that you are more than a grade. The resilience you have shown under such conditions is remarkable. You are all exceptional, inspiring, and talented young people and we couldn’t be prouder of you.

Congratulations again on your achievements this week.
