A group of 25 students from Fuzhou, China took part in an integration programme at Saint Gregory’s from 10 – 14 July 2023. The students attended a welcome session where they learnt about life at our school. Buddies across Years 7 & 8 took the visiting students on a tour of the school to familiarise them with the school site and to share further insights about life at Saint Gregory’s. The Chinese students followed their own timetables with the support of their Year 7 & 8 student buddies, attending a wide range of curriculum classes. Students had opportunity to share and learn about each other’s countries, languages and cultures. At a special ceremony at the end of the visit the students were presented with certificates to take back to China with them in recognition of their time with us. Saint Gregory’s has a strong commitment to global learning with internationalism being firmly embedded throughout the curriculum and school life.
