We would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their exam results, we are extremely proud of their achievements and look forward to following their onward journey. They are an inspiring group of young people who have been valued members of our school community. As they leave us to embark on new adventures we know that their talent, hard work and moral leadership will hold them in good stead. They will continue to succeed and change the world for the better.

This year we have seen a return to pre-pandemic exams. Our students have risen to this challenge to secure grades that will ensure that they have accessed their chosen path. Students from the St Gregory’s sixth form will be taking up places at their chosen university, joining art foundation courses, starting higher level apprenticeships, entering the work force and widening their experience in some exciting gap-year opportunities.

I would like to thank all of the incredible staff and sixth form team at St Gregory’s for their hard work and support provided to our students. Their passion for their subjects, expertise and commitment to our young people is inspiring. The education students receive in the sixth form extends beyond A Levels and fully prepares our young people to successfully navigate the next phase of their life.

We are delighted that so many of our cohort received outstanding A level grades. Amongst many highlights, there were some fantastic results across the curriculum with:

  • 66% of candidates in Spanish received A*-A
  • 60% candidates achieved an A*-A in Fine Art
  • 50% of candidates in Mathematics securing an A* or A grade
  • 40% of English Literature and Language candidates achieving A*-A

I would like to pay tribute to the Class of 2023. Their resilience, determination to succeed and good humour throughout their studies has been nothing short of remarkable. It has been a privilege to be a part of their journey and I know, first-hand that their achievements really are so much more than a grade.

You have developed and matured throughout your time with us. You are fantastic young people who have worked hard, made the most of every opportunity presented to you and deserve your well-earned results.

Congratulations. We are excited to see what you do next!
