We are thrilled to announce our school’s recognition as a Music Mark School, having been nominated by our local music hub, West of England Music Alliance (WEMA).

The Music Mark Schools programme celebrates schools that are committed to providing a high-quality music education through an ambitious and inclusive curriculum, thriving co-curricular opportunities and embedded links with the local community.

Mrs Sterlini, Head of Music, shared the good news with everyone, having found out at the end of last term.

“We are so pleased to be recognised as a Music Mark school. Music is at the heart of our community, and we are incredibly proud of the talented and dedicated young musicians who have made our school a hub for musical creativity. Through their hard work and passion for music, they have earned the Music Mark recognition for our school and their talents shine through in every performance.”

Mrs George, Headteacher congratulated students, Mrs Sterlini and everyone in performing arts team for their outstanding dedication and commitment in securing this award.

“St Gregory’s have a long-held tradition of excellence in the performing arts, recognising the power of music to inspire, educate, and unite. The dedicated team of staff and peripatetic teachers consistently go above and beyond to ensure that students receive the best possible music education, enriching their lives and fostering their talents.

“Music is not just a subject in our curriculum but an integral part of who we are as a community and I firmly believe that this characteristic defines what is so special about our school. Our teachers and instructors are passionate about nurturing young talent and creating an environment where students can flourish. This commitment to excellence has led to numerous successes in music competitions, outstanding student performances, and an overall culture of musical excellence. I am incredibly proud of this immense achievement and of the team of professionals and young people behind the success.”
